HENRY HOLAS FOUNDATION LAUNCHES FIRST BOREHOLE PROJECT AT ORILONISE COMMUNITY MOORE, ILE IFE.

Water is essential for life on Earth, It plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems, and it is a vital resource for human health and well-being. Clean drinking water is crucial to preventing diseases and ensuring public health. As important as it is to live, access to safe drinking water remains a challenge worldwide, including Nigeria.

Henry Holas Foundation launched its first community BoreHole Project on Monday, 10th of April 2023, at Orinlonise Community Moore, Ile Ife. As part of the Foundation's mission to contribute to The theme for World Water Day 2023: Accelerating the Change to solve the Water and sanitation crisis. This project aims to provide clean and safe water to rural communities improving the livelihoods of people in rural communities.

The team arrived at 11:00 am and was welcomed by the community chairman and the community elders. The program started with an opening prayer and speech anchored by the team moderator stating the significance of the foundation's step towards ensuring that everyone in the community has access to clean, safe water for their basic daily needs. We are confident that these new water facilities will go a long way towards reducing the burden of families who had to travel long distances to find water.

The elders and some members of the community expressed their sincere appreciation, they praised the timeliness of the intervention and how the project will greatly relieve the community of lack of easy access to water for a long time.

The event was a great success, Henry Holas Foundation looks forward to organizing more BoreHole projects over time.
