Henry Holas Foundation Brings Hope and Financial Relief to Elderly in Mokuro Community, Ile Ife
On Saturday, 14th June 2025, the Henry Holas Foundation visited the Mokuro Community to carry out a heartwarming outreach focused on providing financial aid to the elderly. This initiative aimed to bring relief and hope to those in their golden years who may be struggling financially.
In preparation for the event, 80 elderly individuals had been registered ahead of time and given tallies to claim their financial gifts the following day. The foundation team arrived at Mokuro by 10:00 AM and began the program with an opening prayer, setting a peaceful and respectful tone for the day’s activities.
However, a light rainfall made it a bit challenging to attend to some of the elderly, as a few had to stay back home and sent their younger relatives to represent them. Despite this, the program went on with warmth and care.
The team leader then addressed the elders and their representatives, explaining the purpose of the visit and urging everyone to remain orderly throughout the process. Following this, the tallies were collected, and the names of recipients were verified once again to ensure an organized and transparent distribution.
With everything set, the team proceeded to call out the names of the beneficiaries one after the other, handing over their financial gifts with warm smiles and heartfelt blessings. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as members of the community expressed their appreciation for the foundation’s thoughtful gesture.
Notably, the foundation also took time to engage with those who could not benefit from this particular outreach. Their names were recorded, with a promise to include them in the next visit to the community—reaffirming the foundation's commitment to leaving no one behind.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a closing prayer, leaving both the team and community members with a sense of fulfillment and joy. Seeing the glowing smiles and heartfelt appreciation on the faces of the elderly and their loved ones was the true highlight of the day.
